The Multiphase effluent from wellhead is been isolated from production line and re-routed to Autoboost rapid production module, where the three-phase separator ensured the efficient fluid separation by gravity (oil, water and gas) and accurate flowrates measurement of each single phase. The process gas is lined up to reciprocating gas compressor system, Gas pressure is then increased and part of the gas is reinjected in the oil well into the casing or pre-existing velocity string, used as a continuous supply of hot gas lift local to the wellhead. Excess gas is re-combined with pumped out oil and water from separator, so multiphase fluid is boosted to the export line at necessary production stream pressure. Process parameters and fully screened operating conditions are very well controlled and monitored via the featured customized control system from the Autoboost local MCC room. Well and Unit Live Data are remotely shared via secured real time website platform with client production center.
First test application was on a well in Hassi Messaoud field located in depleted zone. The well had a drastic WHP and Qoil drop within one year, as no potential downhole damage was identified artificial lift method was the recommended solution hence Autoboost application suggested for temporary gas lift considering the well remote location. a concentric tubing 1.66’’ was run in the well for gas lift injection purpose. Test results shown in fig.5 demonstrates the success of the operation and the overall process of Autoboost system. The system’s data acquisition offers a real time monitoring of the operating parameters and gas lift optimisation process by variation of Q ginj rate versus the produced oil at different WHP pressures controlled by choke size setting.
Since no Gas lift structure was present in the well, a punch was made in the completion to ensure the communication Casing/Tubing. The well flow, then, was isolated from production line and re-routed to the Autoboost rapid production module, where the three-phase separator ensured the efficient fluid separation and accurate flowrates measurement of each phase. The process gas is lined up to gas compressor system, part of the gas is reinjected as a continuous supply of gas lift to the wellhead. Excess gas is re-combined with the oil and water from separator and boosted to the export line at necessary production stream pressure. The Process parameters and are automatically controlled and monitored via the customized control system from the Autoboost® control room.
Our Client in Romania selected the IPS AutoBooST® technology which combines a gas engine driving a multistage compressor connected to a rapid Production Module consisting of a multiphase separator and pumps assigned for the liquids (Oil and Water). • Gas Lift Operation: Gas well from the separator is partially used by the compressor to be reinjected into the well simulating a full fledge gas lift operation • Flowrates Measurement: Gas, Oil and Water flowrates were measured using our orifice and Coriolis meters • Flow reinjection: With the high-pressure pump and gas compressor, the well flow along with chemicals was reinjected to the production line while keeping a low separator and wellhead pressure.
